Valerie and her Week of Wonders

I just got finished watching Valerie and her Week of Wonders for the 2nd time. This time I watched the 1970 film with the sound turned down and the Valerie Project playing. A group of musicians (including the guys from Espers) recorded a new soundtrack for the movie last year as part of the The Project Series. Most of the music went really well with the story but there were some moments when I would have preferred the orginial. Anyway, go see Valerie and her Week of Wonders because even though it's really bizarre it is so beautiful. I am completely in love with her white bedroom and was inspired to create a party board for it.

So you already know how much I love gray and yellow but did you know that I love gray and...well...anything (except pink). I didn't either until yesterday when I walked by that gray and mint window display and then put on my gray pants with my minty grandma sweater this morning. Why does the combination of a bright color paired with moppy gray make me so darn happy!!!???

Spring Cleaning

So you may have noticed my new header and color scheme. I'm loving the spring combo of gray and yellow - it's so soothing, like napping in the afternoon with the window open - and wanted to incorporate it into Auburn & Ivory. I just wish I could take a graphic design course or get Photoshop so I could really spruce things up here! Someday. I also started feeling clausterphobic when I viewed my space so I'm going to do a little spring cleaning. You may have noticed an "Outfit Want of the Week" section that came and went. I'd like to know what sidebar elements you like and what you don't like (should I bring the outfit of the week back?), what things you would like to see more of in the sidebars (or anywhere really) and what things you hate! I would really appreciate the feedback and here's some nice gray and yellow to calm you down:
