Our House Holiday Style

As much as I love Christmas trees, I refused to spend $60 on something that was just going to die in a couple of weeks. Instead we used the grocery bags we never know what to do with. These also served as our wrapping paper this year. The sequins star is my favorite. I bought this garland for the tree as well and she sent some cute paper ornaments with it!

No tree to hang your ornaments? Just stick 'em in a bowl and call it a day.

Or hang 'em on the palm. This is California, ya know.

Last Weekend's Parties

I took some polaroids of the cupcakes I made for the Stone Brewery birthday party. Here is what the party planner had to say:

"Several people told me that they were the best cupcakes anyone had ever eaten in their lives. Just to illustrate the effect they had, we were a large party of thirteen people that had been loud and chatty and having fun all night. When the cupcakes were served, absolute silence descended on the table as everyone ignored their friends and concentrated only on the cupcakes. And minutes before everyone had been complaining that they were so full they wouldn't be eating for another week, and then everyone was asking for seconds!"

And even more cupcakes! Yes, I was a baking machine!

Sweet Sweet Spectra

I'm loving my "new" Polaroid Spectra AF. I never knew I could make a Polaroid that look like this!

Polaroid Saved?

Could it really be true? I hope so. Thank you, Mr. Kaps!

Afternoon Delight

Hello! I hope you all had a marvelous holiday. I'm off to Arizona for the wedding of one of my lovelies so today will be the last day of posting for awhile. I had my party in the park last week and have some photos to share. Here is my Amy Atlas inspired dessert table (there were balloons but they were too wild in the wind).

And one of Captain looking cool. :)

Tuesday Treasures

Today's Tuesday Treasures only focuses on one artist because I couldn't pick just one of Elizabeth Soule's "Little Zoo" polaroids. They are so sweet and sad (and you know how much I love sweet and sad) and they remind me of one of my favorite movies - Sweetie. I'm so excited that you can get prints in her shop too! This is going on the wishlist.
