Lovin' Locally

Oh. my goodness. Have you ever seen anything so cute in your life? I mean look at that little ellie wellie in the sailor's outfit and the little french bunnie wunnie. La Bete Handmade turns me into a sappy sack of sugary sweetness! Local San Diego artist, Roselle Ellison, creates adorable critters out of some pretty elegant materials like angora, cashmere, and organic cotton. These cuddly cuties are looking for their soulmates. I have my eye on Captain Cuddles down there but everyone else is on the market!

Lovin' Locally

This or a That is a funky little shop run by one San Diego lady. I have a couple friends who are really into pin up girls and would love her Bettie Page and pin up girl purses and bangles. All of the really colorful and pop-art inspired jewelry is showing up all over the place right now. But I lean towards the leather cuffs that would go so well with my leather ring from Tomate d'epingles!AND I stopped by Stacey Winters' shop. She has the CUTEST springtime buddies up! I just adore that little dearie!

He may not be a man of many words but you know he'll always be on time. Can he really make a clock out of anything? I want to know.

Lovin' Locally Part II

In honor of Flatstock 16 (thanks sfgirlbybay!), I wanted to showcase some of my favorite posters from the Belly Up here in San Diego (well, Solana Beach). I keep meaning to collect posters from shows I see there (the Neko Case one is my fav but I couldn't find Will Oldham!). I really love show/event posters of all kinds especially work from Diana Sudyka and Francesca Montanari .
