For the Love of Photo

Over the weekend I thought a lot about where I want this blog to go and what I want to do with it in the future. A lot of the blogs I read promote design, fashion, and art that no person I know could ever afford. I'm still a twenty-something as are most of my friends and I work for a non-profit! But I love art and I love good design and I want it to be part of my life. So instead of promoting the big wig designers who really don't need my help I'm going to try and showcase only independent artists and designers. I'm sure if I love some to-die-for collection that I see on stylebubble or something I'll post about it but for the most part I'm going to show stuff that my friends and I could feasibly collect for ourselves.

While I was searching the indie markets, I realized that I don't ever post about photography. I have photography books all over my house but for some reason it never made it up here. So I took a look around and stumbled upon these guys - i so foto - and with the sad end of Polaroid I thought it would be appropriate. I love the combination of images and soft quality of the photos. They are reminiscent of another time and quite lonely even when grouped together.

And I would skip my daily Starbucks run for a few days to pay $50 for these.
