Ok. I wasn't going to do any Valentine's Day themed posts because too much lovey dovey stuff makes me stabby. I'm not bitter or anything. I'm happily coupled and in love but overly produced holidays scare me. THEN I found these cards by San Diego artist Stacey Winters and they made me feel like I ate too much candy (in a good way). Something about the colors of the photographs, how close she gets to the vintage critters, and the edge of glitter (that looks like every Christmas ornament my grandmother had in her house) pushes these super sugary sweet cards past typical feel-good Hallmark-ness to a way more fun level. Definitely check out the rest of her cards (not just Valentines) for your sweetie with a soft spot.
