{so many more Ophelias here via hannahkristina}
I am obsessed with this image. Growing up, I had a thick collection of plays by Shakespeare and never, ever, did I want to play Juliet. No, no. I only recited the lines of Ophelia... specifically her final scene (what can I say, I was a morbid kid)...over and over.
I love, love, love that second photo.
ReplyDeleteha you're not the only one, I used to collect drowning Ophelia prints.
ReplyDeleteCan't say I pretended to be Ophelia ... but I do love these images. Time for me to brush up on my Hamlet.
ReplyDeleteI adore this post, it is fantastic, as Shakespeare anything is fantastic!
ReplyDelete=)
gorgeous! love ophelia!
ReplyDeleteThat first image is gorgeous! There's actually a video going around called "Sassy Gay Friend: Hamlet." The premise? Hamlet would have ended much differently if Ophelia had a sassy gay friend: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnvgq8STMGM Silly, but made me laugh. :)
ReplyDeleteOphelia is much more...spunky? smart?...than Julia. I'd rather be her myself.
ReplyDeleteDo you like the Millais' Ophelia? I know its very popular, but I still adore it.
