$5,000 budget for a 1 room makeover? That's on the cheap? Oh, haha, of course it is, how silly of me. Give me 5K any day and I'll turn my apartment into a chic, fashion show post-party worthy pad too.

Interesting article. Ms. Chan did a great job considering the budget. Great blog :)
ReplyDeleteA. That's an amazing apartment! B. 5,000 bollers! I could do my WHOLE apartment with money like that. This makes me thankful for the simple things in life.
ReplyDeletehahahaha.
ReplyDeletemy entire apartment is either craigslist...the garbage (seriously people throw out some good stuff) or thriftstore, so I agree 5,000 could decorate 5 houses as far as I'm considered
seriously! i would LOVE the challenge of having to decorate a room with "only" $5,000. ha!
ReplyDeleteoh, what I could do with 5K! I'm off to pick up a craigslist couch for $200 tonight. Gotta say, the bargain hunt is really part of the fun ;)
ReplyDeleteUm, yeah. My husband and I just bought a place and are struggling to furnish and decorate on 1/5 of that budget (maybe - we still have to pay closing costs). The tenant also had some really nice pieces to work with, like a sofa that would have been expensive if she'd had to buy it to begin with.
ReplyDeleteYes, given some time to scout flea markets, ebay, and craigslist I could do a LOT with $5K in my house! It is pretty though - gives me some inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI know, right? Hubby and I have been remodeling the entire house and our starting budget for the whole house was $5000! We're definitely gonna go over a smidge, but still.... $5000 for ONE room?! I wish.
ReplyDeleteI'm so inspired by this place! Thanks for sharing.
